Become A Traveling Makeup Artist: Part 2

There are two types of businesses you want to approach. The first are ones in or around your area. These are local businesses that handle out of town wedding arranging. These are a great source because the bride will be able to meet with you before the wedding and that will be a great comfort and selling point. The second businesses are the ones on location. Do some research to find popular places to get married then contact the business around there that may handle any part of the wedding arrangements. Look for hotels, party planners, caterers, photographers, djs, musicians, table/chair/table cloth rentals… You’re not looking for things like sandals packages. You want couples planning their own location wedding and will therefore utilize these small businesses.

Now if you don’t believe that a bride will pay for you to travel to her wedding just to do her makeup you’re wrong. Think of it as an artist being commissioned to do a painting. In art it is much more complicated than simply knowing a technique, it is about the artist’s style and natural ability. Along the same lines, a bride will pay to ensure that someone she trusts to help her look her best on her big day to be there. You are being commissioned as an artist
