Become A Traveling Makeup Artist: Part 3

Become A Traveling Makeup Artist:Part 3

The other way you can travel through working as a makeup artist is by finding a traveling client. There are lots of people who are constantly traveling for their jobs, you want to find someone who is in the public eye enough to require your services. People like DJ’s, dancers, singers, actors, radio personalities, TV personalities, politicians… Your chances of finding Britney Spears as your next client are slim, but don’t forget that every geographical area has their own little regional celebrities climbing the fame ladder. Find local TV hosts, local talents, local politicians. All these people have riders that they can add you to. Riders are lists of requirements that they have before someone books them. So a DJ may say that if someone wants to book her for an out of town gig they will also have to pay for an assistant and first class air fare and any thing else. You can easily get yourself onto someone’s rider because the person booking pays.
